Please, before sending any questions either to us or to the mailing list, make sure you've checked the release notes, documentation, and also done a search in the mailing list archive. Thanks!
There are several ways to keep in touch with developments in omniNotify:
Join the mailing list. See http://www.omniorb-support.com/mailman/listinfo/omninotify-list
In addition to using the above link, you can add yourself to or remove yourself from the omniNotify mailing list by sending commands in the body of an email to majordomo@omniorb-support.com For example:
subscribe omninotify-list
This asks for your name to be added to the omniNotify list. More details will then be sent to you. You can remove yourself from the list in the same way, by using 'unsubscribe' instead of 'subscribe'. Note that these should be sent to 'majordomo' and not to the list itself! If your mailer modifies your email address on the way out, you will be subscribed under this modified name, which can make unsubscribing difficult, particularly if the mailer changes it to something different at a later time, so if you like you can specify the email address to be used:
subscribe omninotify-list myaddress@company.com
You can also just send the command 'help', to get more detailed instructions.
You may also want to keep track of omniORB developments by subscribing to omniorb-list.
For both lists, you can browse the omniORB archives or omniNotify archives or use a Google site-specific search.
Check these web pages regularly.
If you need to contact the omniNotify developers directly, send email to omninotify-list@omniorb-support.com. We may not be able to reply promptly, though we do promise to read them all! The mailing list is a much better method of contact; others may have solved your problem before, and may be able to help if we're not available.
